C.A.M.P. Corsa Nanotech Axe

The Corsa Nanotech pick is a great mixed axe for the ice and mixed climber that wants a stiffer, but not brittle, axe. Keeping the head slightly below the peak of the head will allow the full steel to be used, which makes the Nanotech a great axe for doing a bit of everything; great for doing ice axe pits and slinging, as well as switching to ice tools. The Nanotech still has a nice, firm kick, which allows for secure placements with minimal penetration, but the head is still very much a traditional axe with a long, strong shaft. The face is done in the same low-angle style as the classic Gut hooks, but the corkscrew and nut slots are moved to the inside to facilitate easier insertion of bolts. The blade shape is modified to reduce weight, gain strength and make the head a bit stiffer. The Nanotech still has a nice, malleable swing, which is a big plus for ice axes. The Nanotech still has a nice, firm bite, which is great for choking up on cauliflower. The adze is a nice, simple, ice tool, but not much else.
